About Pablo Da Silva

Pablo Da Silva is currently the Assistant Coach of the US Men’s Futsal National Team. With over 12 years of coaching experience working with players from 5 years old to professional level, boys and girls, and 23 years of soccer, futsal, and indoor experience with extensive international experience playing in places like Brazil, the USA, Puerto Rico, and Hungary, his story is inspirational and incredible. His 23 years playing career took him to over 18 countries to play and train in soccer and futsal.

Pablo Da Silva was born in Florianopolis, Brazil, “Soccer/Futsal is a religion in Brazil.” Pablo started playing ball as soon as he could walk and futsal at age 5. He went on to play Futsal professionally at the age of 17. In 2008 Pablo got an offer to come to the United States to play professional indoor soccer for the Baltimore Blast. Shortly after playing for Baltimore Blast, Pablo began playing indoor for the Milwaukee Wave, where he won back-to-back MISL Championships in 2010-2011 and 2011-2012. In addition to his 13-year MASL career, Pablo also represented the Brazilian National Minifootball Team for ten years with several World Cup appearances. He represented the USA in the CONCACAF Futsal Club Championship and the Intercontinental Championship. Pablo soon settled down in Milwaukee, where he coached for MKSC from 2010 to 2020.

After joining the coaching staff with the U.S. Men’s Futsal National Team, Da Silva got a firsthand look at what it means to start from scratch and help build the National team. Two significant accomplishments were attaining Second Place in the Concacaf Qualifier and taking the team to the FIFA 2021 Futsal World Cup. After these significant achievements, the U.S. Men’s Futsal National Team put its stamp on the world stage. This experience has given Da Silva more depth in his insight and application on how to grow a team.

Complimenting his prolific playing career, Da Silva has credentials in coaching educational courses such as a CBF for the Brazilian Development Pathway for Futsal and Soccer, UEFA Share for Futsal, and a USSF National C License. Da Silva is also in the final stage of receiving his Futsal B License with the CBF Brazilian Confederation.

Pablo is a highly experienced and passionate coach. When asked what advice he would give youth players looking to play at the next level, he responded, “Keep training, every day. It is never enough. If you are going to do it, do it the right way, do it with passion. You have to be hungry and believe that people will try to degrade you, but you need to push past it all. Train hard, have passion, and have fun.”

Pablo Da Silva officially became a U.S. Citizen in 2020 through his extraordinary career.
